Hello and Welcome to Kingsdown Ladies Badminton Club!

Kingsdown BC was founded decades ago by the legendary Roy Niblett. The aim: to provide women and girls with an enjoyable place to play badminton, whilst encouraging personal development through competition.

​

We are one of Bristol’s first women-only badminton clubs and we pride ourselves on this, as it gives our players a relaxed environment to develop their game. We are big supporters of Sport England’s “This Girl Can” Campaign and everything that it stands for – more girls and women being physically active, for more of the time, and enjoying themselves whilst they do it.

The standard of play for club nights is “improver to club team player”. We do have a number of senior / master county standard players, so there will certainly be someone around to challenge you if you’re up for it!

​

We have four ladies’ teams playing the Bristol League. For the 2024-2025 season, the 1st team will complete in Division 1, the 2nd team will compete in Division 2 and our 3rd team will compete in Division 3.

We are currently looking for new members, from 16+, so if you live in the area and are looking to pick up the racket after some time off, or are just looking for a new place to play – please do get in touch!
